Welcome Guest Author Erin Nicholas

Please welcome the fabulous Erin Nicholas to the blog. She’s dropped by to talk about the very sexy guys in her Bradfords series. These guys will have you rushing to get their books. Without further ado, here's Erin

Thanks so much for letting me hang out with you Stephanie!  I love talking about the Bradfords and their friends and I know this is the perfect place to do that!

The Bradfords are Jessica, Sam and Sara—the siblings—and then their group of friends and “bonus Bradfords”.  On my website under the Bradford Extras tab I have a Who’s Who that better explains who everyone is—cuz there’s quite a group J. Just Right, book one, is Jessica’s story, Just LikeThat, book two, is Sam’s story and Just My Type is Sara’s story.  But then there are some “bonus Bradfords”, friends of Sam’s—Mac, Dooley (Doug) and Kevin.  It just so happens that Mac’s story is also Sara’s story J but Dooley and Kevin didn’t have books until recently. Just For Fun is Dooley’s book and is out July 24th.  Kevin’s book, Just A Kiss, will release in October!  Whew!

I‘m often asked which of the Bradford books is my favorite.  I have a really hard time answering that question!  While the stories have (I hope) the same fun, sexy feel with enough emotion and conflict to make them satisfying, they’re different stories for sure.  I like them all for different reasons.  I think there are hot moments, funny moments and sweet moments in all of them.    I could tell which scenes in each book are my favorites—maybe.  Or which lines—possibly.  But which book?  No way.

Sometimes people ask an even worse question:  which of the guys is my favorite.

I absolutely can not pick between these men.  Honest. All the guys are charming and sexy in their own way.  They all have things that make them attractive and made them fun to write.

Ben (from Just Right) has a special place in my heart because he was my first J.  I knew Ben before I even knew Jessica and definitely before I got to know the other guys in the Bradford stories.  He’s the big hero, that guy that can do no wrong, who literally saves lives every day.  He’s a trauma surgeon in a busy ER and… he just makes everything better.  He is probably the most serious of the group.  Though in Just Right he certainly tries to be a bad boy—and definitely succeeds at moments!— overall he’s the one who you can really lean on, who’ll do the right thing.

Sam… ah, Sam.  Sam is sexy.  Period.  Oh, and he knows it.  In fact, he’s quite proud of it.  Being dependable and responsible are not quite his thing though.  He has a big heart deep down, but he doesn’t let that show much.  He takes care of people but doesn’t make a big deal about it.  In fact, he’d rather people didn’t know that.  He’s protective of his sisters, loves to give his buddies a hard time and can make any woman feel sexy and wanted.  He doesn’t really have a type—he loves all women.  Which, of course, means that when he finally falls for Dani, he falls hard.

Mac is the wild child.  He’s grown out of some of it… wait, no he hasn’t.  He has a huge naughty streak—one that made me even hesitate a few times!  He’s also big, protective and doesn’t care much what other people think.  He’s like an older brother to the gang, especially Sara.  You know Sara.  His best friend’s little sister.  His best friend who knows all about his wild and sordid past.  His best friend who will never be okay with him being with Sara.  Not that that slows Sara down.  It was fun making Mac sweat a little.  Really fun.

Dooley is the goof off with a heart of gold.  He’s also got a naughty streak (what is it with these guys?) but he’s a really good guy deep down.  He acts like a big kid but he’s also sweet and sexy.  He just doesn’t feel like his life has a lot to offer a woman long-term so he keeps things superficial and fun.  Lots of fun.  But in spite of his protests, I found him a girl to be serious about—the perfect one for him.  And he didn’t stand a chance.  (Definitely really fun!)

And then there’s Kevin. He’s such a good guy.  He even goes to church J  But he’s… conflicted.  Cuz deep down (or not really all that deep down) he really likes being bad.  His good-guy thing is relatively new and it’s hard to give up drinking, swearing, partying and women.  He likes women as much as the rest of them.  One in particular.  The girl that got away.  So, figuring things out for him took a little longer but it was worth the wait!

So, you can see that it’s just too hard to pick one guy!  They all have so much to offer.

I would love to hear who’s your favorite and why J  But I hope you’ll give them all a chance!

  1. Well, let me think...who is my favorite...Yeah, who am I kidding? Mac, hands down, is my favorite. I am really looking forward to Kevin though. I think I have a thing for big guys, football players, and firemen (yes, Mac was a fireman at one point). Magic Mac = Perfect!

  2. It's so hard to pick a favorite. If I had to choose, I'd pick Sam. He's sexy, witty, the whole package . . . who could resist. Plus, I'm not fighting Kim for Mac. I'm too smart for that. :o) Of course after reading Dooley and Kevin's books I might change my mind.

As far as a favorite--that is so hard--but I would have to pick Mac--he was a bit of an ass to Sara in his own book but then he more then made up for it. 6. Hi Ladies! Sorry I've been MIA. I was determined to stop by to say hi. Kim, I'm not going to go near Mac, I know he's yours! I love them all, but I have to say Ben is my favorite, maybe because he was my first Bradford. Erin, I love all the books I've read and am trying very hard to catch up!
