Release Day for Hitched by Erin Nicholas

Hitched by Erin Nicholas is book four in the Promise Harbor Wedding series. It is available today. Yay! I’m looking forward to reading this series.

And she thought the bridesmaids dresses were her biggest problem...

The Promise Harbor Wedding, Book 4

Allison Ralston would rather be anywhere other than this wedding. Even if the wedding is hers.Especially since the wedding is hers.

But Allie's determined to restore her family's happiness, and if tying the knot with longtime family friend, Josh Brewster, is the way to do it, then she'll walk down that aisle, toss that bouquet and drink that champagne.

Oh, she'll definitely drink the champagne.

There’s only one thing that could get Gavin Montgomery back to Promise Harbor. And she’s about to say I do to another man. Now he’s back to claim what’s his—even if he has to do it in the middle of her wedding.

Allie is shocked—and okay, a little turned on—when Gavin literally sweeps her off her feet. Safe in his arms, she succumbs to fatigue, stress, and yes, the champagne, only to wake up in his bed. In Alaska.

Now that he’s put four thousand miles between Allie and all her responsibilities, Gavin’s determined to show her that they can make a life together. If he has his way, the next wedding Allie will be planning will be theirs.

Warning: Contains a guy so in love he’s willing to break up the wedding of the season, a bride who just needs to get to, well, anywhere else, and enough hot sex to take them from New England to Alaska and back again.

Favorite Read - Review Midnight Special by Tawny Weber

I love this book! I love all the books I've read by Tawny Weber. Her writing draws me into the story and the rest of the world fades away.

Part of this book is set on a vintage train with a film noir theme. I wanted to take a trip on this train by the end of the book. The setting captivated me along with the characters.

Marni and Hunter are quite a pair. Both are determined to excel with their careers. Nothing will get in their way of reaching the top. Nothing except waking up in the wrong bed. Add in their career goals conflicting and you get a page turning read.

Marni is the perfect match for Hunter. I enjoyed how they resolved the differences keeping them apart because let’s face it this is a romance so we know they find their happily ever after.

I could read this book again right now and enjoy it just as much as the first time. I recommend this book to any reader looking for a great romance with a sexy, hot hero.

5 Stars = A Must Read

Note: I received this book from the author.

Somewhere on the train is a key witness for a crime involving arson, murder and a high-profile businessman. And reporter Marni Clare will do whatever it takes to get the story—even if it means crashing in a sleeper car that’s she’s not sure she’s reserved. But when she wakes, she finds herself curled up with the man she’s seeking…and he’s hot enough to derail all her plans!

FBI special agent Hunter won’t complain about the wickedly hot blonde in his arms. And maybe it’s the medication he’s on, but he’s even agreed to share his room for the entire journey….

It’s a long trip in close quarters, and within days their berth becomes the scene of some steamy railway romps. But is Marni just having fun…or is she taking Hunter for a ride?

Busted by Sydney Somers, Book 3 in Promise Harbor Wedding Series

Busted by Sydney Somers is available today. It's book 3 in the Promise Harbor Wedding Series.

BUSTED

His game…Her rules

Hockey star Jackson Knight has a hundred reasons not to return to Promise Harbor, but none of them are good enough to get him out of attending his best friend’s wedding. Even with a career-ending knee injury, every puck-bunny in town will be gunning for him.

Worse, getting a pair of cuffs slapped on him at the bachelor party could ruin any chance of getting back in the game, even as a coach. Unless he can convince the arresting officer to smooth things over—by going to the wedding as his date.
Hayley Stone figures posing as Jackson’s girlfriend is the least she can do to salvage his reputation. Plus, having a man with a toe-curling smile on her arm will keep her ex off her back.

What starts as a simple plan to deflect small-town pot-shots unexpectedly becomes a sizzling night that hits Jackson like a full-body-check to the heart. Now he’s determined to prove that she’s the best of reason of all to come home—for good.
Warning: Contains a fiery powerplay both on and off the ice, skin-tingling forced intimacy, interfering grandparents, bear costume hijinks, a haunted house and the kind of game-changing chemistry worth fighting for.

Tempting Cameron by Karen Erickson Releases Today & My Review

Karen Erickson is a must read author for me. I love her writing and enjoy every book I’ve read. She’s done it again with Tempting Cameron. It’s book two in the Lone Pine Lake series.

Chloe is the town princess. The girl next door that everyone loves, but she’s looking for an adventure in the form of her life long crush, Cameron. Cameron wants Chloe, but he always leaves and doesn’t want to break her heart when he does. This combination leads to a great read where the chemistry between them has you turning the pages.

Chloe is so lovable. You can see her being one of your friends. Cameron is moody and a bit of an ass in the beginning. He definitely redeems himself by the end. He grows so much throughout the book with Chloe’s help and love. There journey is full of emotion, tears, joy, love, and happiness.

I enjoyed every moment of their journey. I recommend this book to any reader looking for a sweet, sexy romance. Another great read from Karen Erickson!

5 Stars = A Must Read

Note: I received an ARC of this book.

For Cameron McKenzie, Chloe Dawson has always just been his younger sister Jane’s best friend—a pesky annoyance who followed him around and acted like he hung the moon. It isn’t until Jane’s wedding to her firefighter beau Chris that Chloe reappears in his life…and she isn’t pesky or annoying anymore. In fact, the beautiful Chloe tempts him beyond reason. But Cam knows he’s damaged goods—not nearly good enough for Lone Pine Lake’s resident good girl.

Chloe’s always dreamed of a future with the dark, brooding Cam, and after they share an explosive kiss, she wonders if her dream could be coming true. Cam’s never stuck around his hometown for long, though, so she makes him an offer: one sweet summer romance with no strings attached. This good girl’s ready for an adventure…one that just might end up lasting a lifetime.

Meg Benjamin Talks about Bridesmaid Dresses and Bolted, Book 2 in Promise Harbor Wedding Series

Say Yes To the Dress

I’ve written several weddings into my Konigsburg books, but the question of bridesmaid dresses never really came up. In Wedding Bell Blues, the heroine had a gorgeous bridesmaid dress. In Don’t Forget Me, the bride decided not to have the bridesmaids wear matching dresses because they weren’t exactly a matched set. But then came Bolted, and the Bridesmaid Dress From Hell.

The wedding situation in Bolted is a little unusual. The bride herself is sort of distracted by family pressures and other things (Erin Nicholas will spell it all out in Hitched, which features the bride as the heroine). At any rate, she passes on the responsibility for choosing the bridesmaids’ dresses to her cousin Bernice. And Bernice turns out to have a serious Gone With the Wind fixation.

Thus Greta, the matron of honor, finds herself in a dress that’s sort of reminiscent of the barbecue at Tara. It involves crinolines and sashes and ruffles and everything that makes the average bridesmaid’s heart drop to her shoes. And on top of everything else, the bride is swept away by a former boyfriend before the wedding can take place.
Greta is also the groom’s sister, so her mother isn’t exactly in the right frame of mind to hear Greta’s news about her own recent divorce. So Greta decides to go for a drive, Gone With the Wind dress and all.

What happens next leads to Greta taking a week-long vacation from wedding disasters and responsibility. With only the ghastly clothes on her back, she becomes the chef at the Hotel Grand and the lover of the hunky archaeologist she’s rescued from his own dig.

So yes, Greta’s dress is pretty awful, and she has every reason to be depressed about it. But by the end of the story, even Greta has to admit—the dress has some magical qualities after all.

Here’s the blurb for Bolted:

Sometimes you have to get lost before you can find yourself.

The Promise Harbor Wedding, Book 2

Greta Brewster McBain in a bind. Two, if she’s really counting. First there’s the can-barely-breathe, bridesmaid’s dress from hell. Second, the stranger who just carried her “perfect” brother’s fiancĂ©e out the church door has made it impossible to tell her own mother about her own divorce.

Rather than confirm her reputation as the family screw-up, Greta takes a drive to clear her head.

Trapped in a hole and unable to reach his cell phone, Hank Mitchell is resigned to becoming a permanent part of his own archeological dig when help arrives—in the form of a woman who looks like a Gone With The Wind refugee. Behind the ruffles and lace, though, is something he appreciates: a woman who isn’t afraid of a little dirt.

Their instant connection draws Greta into the eccentric world of the Hotel Grand, where she impulsively trades her hoopskirts for an apron. Soon things are getting hot, not only in the hotel kitchen, but in Hank’s arms...

Warning: Contains hot moonlit sex, a melancholy turtle, two wisecracking seniors, and the world’s ugliest bridesmaid dress.
