Her Miracle Man Giveaway

Her Miracle Man by Nikki Duncan releases tomorrow. A holiday book everyone will want to read this season. I’m giving away a copy to a lucky reader. Also, use code NDecentSE at Samhain to get 30% off Her Miracle Man.

Children’s hospital administrator Ryland Davids was attracted to event planner Jennalyn James the moment he saw her. He thought there would be plenty of time to get to know her—until her younger sister, Sabrina, was admitted with complications from traumatic brain injury.

Sabrina’s bright courage broke through Ryland’s wall of professional distance, but once she drew her last breath, Jennalyn left the hospital and never returned. Though he understands her need for distance, there’s a hole in his heart that won’t heal. And a last wish from Sabrina he’s honor-bound to deliver.

When Jennalyn comes face to face with Ryland at a charity event, the pain comes rushing back, threatening to shatter her everything’s-fine façade. It doesn’t help that the lump in her throat is mostly her heart, leaping in response to his touch.

Despite her reluctance to return to the scene of her grief, she fulfills Sabrina’s final request to plan a series of Christmas events for the kids. Over the course of A Month of Miracles, Ryland and Jennalyn discover there’s the light of hope at the end of grief’s dark tunnel. But it may not be enough to heal her broken heart.

Welcome Guest Author Rachel Carrington

It’s a pleasure to have Rachel Carrington here today sharing about imagination. Waking Up Immortal is her latest release. This book is the first chance I've had to read one of Rachel's books. It definitely won’t be the last. I enjoyed reading about Chloe and the world she lives in. Waking Up Immortal is the first book in the Universal Security series.

Without further ado, here is Rachel.

Imagination

I interview authors on my blog every Monday, and I usually ask them all the same question. If you could step into any world you wanted, which one would it be and why? I’ve asked myself that same question, and my answer changes depending upon the day or my mood.

Though it’s an impossibility to simply change worlds, the idea is what matters. The thought of choosing which paranormal or fantasy world to exist in is tempting. Would you cross over into the world of the undead? Run with werewolves? Or perhaps you’d prefer a magical world where wizards and witches reigned.

It doesn't matter that we can’t hop-scotch into a fictional reality. The question opens up the imagination, and, for a brief moment, a reader gets to see what journey a writer they enjoy would choose to take if he/she could.

So today, I’ll ask you the same question. If you could step into any world you want, which one would it be? What journey would you take?

Do you imagine yourself at Hogwarts? Or maybe you’d like to rent a room in Mystic Falls, Virginia where all the vampires hang out. Can you see yourself in a parallel universe? How about living a fairytale like the residents of Storybrooke, Maine do on Once Upon a Time?

You’re only limited by your imagination…and imagination, by its very definition, is limitless.  I hope you see now why I ask the question.

Book One in the Universal Security Series

I could die today, and it wouldn’t matter. I’d still wake up tomorrow. Some people might consider that a good thing, and the time I took my first bullet, well, I can’t say I complained when I woke up, but that’s the middle of the story.

At first I didn't want this "gift" which led me to a long search for my father. I thought he could help me. Turns out my father was in prison, and I just happened to get on the bad side of his warden—a huge, cyborg type of guy who could body double for Sylvester Stallone. He didn't want me to see my father, and he was a pretty big obstacle for me to overcome.

So here I am trying to convince this guy, Kier, to let me see my father when all hell breaks loose. Then I suddenly learn I really don't want to see dear old Dad after all. My life isn't in danger, but how I spend the rest of my immortal existence is. The only thing standing between me and certain torture is Kier.

I don't doubt he'll protect me, but being so close to him makes me forget about things like safety.  And the first time he kisses me turns into heat up the windows type of scene in the front seat of my car.

My immortal existence is safe with Kier. My heart is on shaky ground. Only I could fall in love with a cyborg while my life is going to hell in a handbasket.

The wife of the White House deputy chief of staff has been beaten to death, and their one-year-old daughter is missing. D.C. Police Lieutenant Sam Holland is in charge of the murder investigation, but she's forced to collaborate with Special Victims Unit detectives as well as thorn-in-her-side FBI Special Agent Avery Hill. Then, a cold case of her father's resurrects old hurts—a distraction Sam cannot afford.
As Sam's investigation heats up, so does Nick's political career—and the heat carries over to their bedroom. Will Sam put the pieces together in time to catch a killer and find the baby, or will ambition, greed and lies prove fatal?

Fatal Affair is Free in November

Fatal Affair by Marie Force is free for the month of November. It's book one in the Fatal series. This series is amazing. I love Sam and Nick. Now is your chance to start the series for free. You’ll be hooked.

I can’t wait for the next book in this series. Fatal Deception, book 5, will be available November 12.

Washington, D.C., Metro Police Detective Sergeant Sam Holland needs a big win to salvage her career and her confidence after a disastrous investigation. The perfect opportunity arises when Senator John O'Connor is found brutally murdered in his bed, and Sam is assigned to the case. Matters get complicated when Sam has to team up with Nick Cappuano, O'Connor's friend and chief of staff...and the man Sam had a memorable one-night stand with years earlier. Their sexual chemistry still sizzles, and Sam has to fight to stay focused on the case. Sleeping with a material witness is another mistake she can't afford especially when the bodies keep piling up.
