Currently Reading - Under His Protection

Today is Tax Day. I hope everyone in the US has gotten your taxes done. Now, it's time to sigh in relief and read a good book.

I don't have any new releases that I am buying this Tuesday. I wonder if I'm missing out on some.

I started reading Under His Protection by Karen Erickson. Loving it so far!

What are you reading? Any new releases this Tuesday that are must buys?

Worth the Scandal by Karen Erickson

Image via Karen Erickson's Website
Worth the Scandal is worth the read. The journey to Tessa and Alex’s happily ever after had me turning the pages. I read the majority of the book in one sitting.

Tessa is from a completely different background than Alex. The challenges to overcome the differences were well written and intriguing. Tessa feeling out of her element at times with Alex was true to her character and added to making her a three dimensional character. Both Tessa and Alex grow through the book in order to overcome the obstacles keeping them apart. Watching them grow and change had me hooked.

Worth the Scandal is the first book in the Worth It series. I’m looking forward to read the other Worth brothers’ story. Next up is Worth the Risk, which is Hunter’s story. It releases July 10.

Psych Season Finale

Tonight is Psych's season finale. It's true all good things must come to an end or at least end for the season. I'm already looking forward to next season.

Psych always makes me laugh. Great acting and fabulous writing makes for a must watch TV show for me.

Thankfully I have all the seasons I can re-watch to get me through the hiatus.

Sensory Ops, Book 3

Love could be their greatest liability.

Ava Malia knows three things. She was once a kickass covert operative. She will eventually adjust to her new team, the FBI Specialized Crimes Unit. And the only way to finally be free of her professional past is to solve her first case and get her hands on a game-changing technology. The only problem? Success rides on her ability to swallow her distaste for the persona she must adopt in order to earn the trust of a mysterious scientist.

Dr. H escaped childhood captivity with three things. His sister. Complete control of his gift. And an engulfing distrust of anyone in the government. Adjusting to a life of freedom hasn’t been easy, but he’s found peace in solitude. The sexy woman auditing his empathic studies, though, has a way of getting under his skin that’s both arousing and disturbing. Plus, his psychic ability warns him of secrets so deeply buried in her psyche, they’d be better left alone.

Yet their instant attraction strips away all their protective barriers, down to the foundation of a new, fragile trust. And a vulnerability that, when an old enemy opens fire, could blast away any chance of a future.

Books of Beachville, Book 1

Sometimes a good girl just needs a little naughty.

Public relations specialist Allison Cooper is more than ready to handle a career make-or-break assignment: to develop and market a charity calendar featuring hot men. Her only problem is Mr. July, a sexy cop who happens to be her ex-lover.

Trying to keep his image squeaky clean—a must for her promotion—raises all sorts of challenges, especially when this bad boy is throwing a little kink into her plan.

Image is the last thing on Carter James's mind. He agreed to be Mr. July on one condition—that during his promo month, Allison never leaves his side. He wants her back, and to make that happen he needs her undivided attention to teach him good from bad. Unless bad is what the lady wants...

Warning: Contains frank language, hot sex on the beach, and illegal but sexy use of handcuffs. Author cannot be held accountable for aroused state of mind or ruined manicures upon completion of this steamy book.

Reading

Instead of writing blog posts this week, I've spent my time reading Anything You Want by Erin Nicholas. A sizzling, hit read. I loved the chemistry between Sabrina and Marc. These two kept me coming back for me. I hated to see their story end. It's definitely worth reading.

I'm back in a reading groove so don't expect any posts this week. The books on my kindle are just too tempting to resist.

Want Me by Jo Leigh is calling my name.
